Life as a parent can be hard work and there is no harm in admitting that you sometimes need some help. They will have done most of the hard work for you in terms of security checks and background references and if you are short of time this may well be the best way forward. If you would prefer not to use an agency then you can place an advert in a local paper or online but be prepared to go through rigorous background checks before hiring anyone. The other way is to ask friends or family who already have home help and see if they know of anyone else who may be interested in the job. Your child’s nursery or school may also know of someone who is looking for a job and however you choose to find help, make sure you really get to know them before they are left alone with your child.
