Theatres and Operas

Theatre, opera, and other performing arts have a long history of being part of Roman culture. The Teatro dell’Opera, for example, stages amazing performances of opera and ballet with its own orchestra and ballet company. The Teatro Costanzi is also popular. So is the Teatro alle Terme di Caracalla, which is an open air theatre noted for its summer performances.
