When to go Shopping
Rome is a shopper’s paradise. The city is dotted with numerous designer shops and department stores. A lot of shopping opportunities await travellers and any hardcore shopper should make it a point to visit the most well known shopping areas in the city. The first of these is the Via dei Condotti, one of the richest streets in the county and the home of top designer stores like Armani, Prada, Gucci, and other famous names in fashion.
The Porta Portese market
The Via del Corso is popular with both locals and tourists and it is where the Ferrari flagship store is located. Trastevere has an outdoor food market; Viale Marconi is a favourite haunt of trendy young Romans; Porta Portese is the popular flea market that takes place every Sunday; Piazza Vittorio has a food market with an incredible selection of produce; and Piazza Navona is the best place to shop for art.
